Skies

The skies continue to amaze us nearly every day.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Here on the permaculture farm, we try not to throw too much stuff away. At least not before it's been used for more than one theng. Here is an outfit I made for baby. -julie

Why Cats Walk on Two Legs, by Julie

Back before you and I were born, cats walked on two legs.
I, a cat, will tell you that story.

Once upon a time, the leader of all cats thought cats were the bravest animals on the Earth.

So one day a storm came. Not a regular storm. It had lightning and thunder. It poured down.

And all the cats said, “Come before we get wet or hurt.” But the leader of the cats said, “No. We are the bravest animal in the world.”

But that instant, he was struck by lightning.

So now all cats avoid lightning by walking on four legs.

Like me.

The End.

Dragon Fruit by Arjuna

The inside and the outside of a dragon fruit are so different from each other that it is like they are from different planets. The outside looks like man-made rubber. It’s a very surprising color: neon pink with small green flaps. It is about the size of a small dinosaur egg. Eating it is like eating space. The white flesh is like the Milky Way and the black seeds are like stars. It has no taste and yet it is so flavorful. If you ever go to space, bring a dragon fruit for the aliens. They might recognize it!
